Tower Rock Elementary School

Tower Rock Elementary School is named after a rock outcropping behind the schoolIn 2006, Farit, a 5th grade student at Tower Rock Elementary School in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, raised money to help endangered species by selling notecards with his classmates. Farit had drawn endangered birds from around the world, to make the cards. These beautiful cards also helped educate people about conservation. Farit chose to donate the money he raised to the International Crane Foundation (ICF), on behalf of his school. ICF donated a portion of Farit's gift to Xianghai Middle School, a Tracking Cranes project school in Jilin Province, China. Like Farit and his classmates, students at Xianghai Middle School are learning about endangered wildlife and are developing their own note cards to help educate people about threatened species, such as cranes.
