Alexander Mitchell Integrated Arts School
Alexander Mitchell Integrated Arts School is a K-8 school in Milwaukee Wisconsin. The school has a special focus on the arts and bilingual (English-Spanish) education. Seventh grade teacher Mike Engelking is involving his students in the Three White Cranes project through annual field trips to the International Crane Foundation, classroom visits by Three White Cranes educators, and a pen pal exchange with students in China (read more about Mr. Engelking’s class activities).
In 2007 and 2008 Mr. Engleking participated in a teacher exchange through our project, traveling with a group of Milwaukee teachers to several nature reserves in northeast China.
